The municipality of Corsano is located in the finibus terrae in Puglia , at the foot of the extreme edge of the Salento Murge, between the Cianci mountain range and the Adriatic coast.

Monuments to visit in Corsano:
It had a chapel dedicated to San Vito but there is no trace of it except in the memories of the elderly.
The church of St. Sophia dates back to the late Byzantine period, originally it had a Greek cross plan but over time it underwent several restorations and additions so that it was transformed into a Latin cross.
Worth admiring are the paintings that belonged to the old church and a carved wooden pulpit bearing the date 1777.
The current parish church dedicated to the protector St. Biagio is a modern building.
It was inaugurated on March 19, 1967 in the presence of the then archpriest parish priest, Father Ernesto Valiani, and many authorities as well as the then bishop, Monsignor Ruotolo.
The existence of a parchment from 1777 granting privileges for the small church is credited.
In this church, the statue of the Immaculate Madonna , dating back to 1871, is preserved, as well as a wooden statue of the Patron Saint, dating back to the 16th century, the oldest to date.
On the altar there is a canvas depicting the Crucifixion of Jesus and a statue of the Saint celebrated on August 24th every year.
